Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign releases on 6 November 2026, and it is led by one of the most famous Legendary Pokémon of all: Mega Rayquaza ex. What is Delta Reign?
Delta Reign is a storm-themed expansion built around a ruler of the skies. Mega Rayquaza ex descends with a thunderous roar, and alongside it come three more Mega Evolution Pokémon ex: Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex. The Pokémon Company describes the set as one of prevailing winds, legendary places and emerald-coloured storms, and that theme runs through the artwork from the commons to the special illustration rares.

Mega Rayquaza ex: the card everyone will be chasing
Mega Rayquaza ex is the face of Delta Reign, and it is built to be both a collector's centrepiece and a serious threat at the table.
- 280 HP, so it can take a hit and stay in the fight.
- Ruler's Roar (Ability): when you play it from your hand onto your Bench, you look at the top four cards of your deck and attach a Basic Energy to it. That is free Energy acceleration the moment it lands.
- Storm Emerald (attack): 50 damage for each Fire Energy and each Lightning Energy attached to all of your Pokémon. Build up a Bench of Fire and Lightning Pokémon and the damage climbs fast.
- Type: Colorless, so it slots into Fire and Lightning decks rather than needing its own Energy type.
The special illustration rare version is painted by Kazuki Minami, the grand prize winner of the Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest 2024. Expect it to be the most sought-after card in the set.
Legendary Summit: a Stadium split across two cards
One of the more unusual cards in Delta Reign is Legendary Summit, a Stadium printed across two cards (096 and 097). You can only play it by combining both halves, which join into one panoramic illustration by nagimiso. Its effect: whenever a ★ Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from an attack from the opponent's Pokémon, that player takes one fewer Prize card.
