What is Yu-Gi-Oh! Maze of Machines?
Maze of Machines is the newest "Maze of" booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, and this one is all about heavy metal. Konami's reveal reads like a catalogue of destructive DARK Machines belonging to a well-known Duelist: big monsters that destroy cards, Special Summon each other and recycle whatever they break. Alongside the Machines, the set gives three older themes new, modern cards, adds a batch of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX cards.
Maze of Machines card list: the cards revealed so far
Konami has not published a full Maze of Machines card list yet. These are the cards officially revealed so far, with their set numbers. We will only add cards here once Konami confirms them.

Rampant Barrel Dragon (MZMC-005)
A Level 8 DARK Machine Fusion Monster with 3000 ATK and 2200 DEF, and the face of the set. In true Barrel Dragon style, its Quick Effect flips three coins and fires a barrel for each heads. Alpha Barrel adds a card from your Deck to your hand, Beta Barrel destroys an opponent's card for each heads, and Omega Barrel puts a card from your opponent's Graveyard onto your side of the field.
Pendulum Machine of Misery (MZMC-001)
A Level 6 DARK Machine (1750 ATK / 2000 DEF). If a card is destroyed by a DARK Machine monster, you can Special Summon it from your hand. When it is Special Summoned it destroys an opponent's monster, and if it is ever destroyed you can Special Summon a DARK Machine from your Deck.
Slot Machine 777 (MZMC-002)
A Level 7 DARK Machine (2000 ATK / 2300 DEF) that cannot be destroyed by attacks in Attack Position, or by effects in Defense Position. You can Special Summon it from your hand by destroying a card you control, and during your turn it can add "Heavy Metal" Spells from your Deck to your hand, gaining 700 ATK or DEF permanently each time.

Ticking Blast Sphere (MZMC-003)
A Level 6 DARK Machine (2900 ATK / 1400 DEF) that turns your Special Summons into removal. Each time it is Special Summoned it equips itself to an effect monster, then destroys that monster the next time any monster effect is activated and burns your opponent for the monster's original ATK. If it is destroyed, it Sets a "Heavy Metal" Trap from your Deck.
Heavy Metal Bandit (MZMC-006)
A Continuous Spell that stops your DARK Machines being targeted or destroyed by your opponent's Spells. It also searches a DARK Machine with 2000 or more ATK or DEF from your Deck.
Heavy Metal Revenge (MZMC-010)
A Continuous Trap that can revive a monster from either player's Graveyard under your control each turn, as long as it was destroyed by a DARK Machine monster's effect. If it is sent to the Graveyard, you can Set a "Heavy Metal" Spell or Trap from your Deck.
New Cubic, Marincess and Ghostrick cards
Three themes from earlier years get new, contemporary cards. Konami notes it has been four years since Marincess and Ghostrick last got new cards, and Cubic gets another round of support to mark the 10th anniversary of the movie Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX cards, Extended Art and chibi variants
Maze of Machines includes 10 new cards from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, timed with the videogame Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX. Among them is Elemental HERO Clay Guardsman, the card Jaden used against Aster Phoenix, plus a new variant art Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder that is available only as a Starlight Rare.

Seven existing cards get Extended Art versions, including an all-time great, Summoned Skull, with brand-new art. There are also 10 chibi variant art cards, among them Contrast HERO Chaos, Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack, Fire King High Avatar Garunix and Bujintei Susanowo. Secret Rare chibi cards take the place of a Super Rare in a pack and are additional Secret Rares, so they do not replace one of the set's 6 standard Secret Rares. And as usual, there is another chance to pull high-demand cards such as Dominus Spark, Fydraulis Harmonia and Fallen of the White Dragon.

Maze of Machines rarities and set breakdown
The 153 cards break down like this, per Konami:
- 6 Secret Rares
- 10 additional Secret Rare chibi variant art cards
- 14 Ultra Rares
- 21 Super Rares
- 100 Rares
- 1 Starlight Rare-only card
- 15 of these cards are also available as Collector's Rares
- 7 cards are available as Extended Art in Ultra Rare and Starlight Rare
Every pack has 7 cards: 1 foil card and 6 Rares. Konami notes contents may change before release.

Protect your Maze of Machines pulls
Foils and Secret Rares show every scratch and bent corner, so sleeve your hits as soon as they come out of the pack. Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are smaller than Pokémon or Magic cards, so look for small (Japanese-size) sleeves if you want a snug fit for play.
- Keep the big pulls rigid: Ultra Pro 3 x 4 inch toploaders hold a sleeved Yu-Gi-Oh! card flat and safe in storage or in the post.
- Play on a proper surface: official Konami game mats like the Gold Pride Chariot Carrie game mat and the Grandopolis game mat keep cards off a rough table.
- Everything else: browse our card protection and accessories.
